Academy
Rockhill Academy for Independent Living was founded in 1995 by Rockhill Manor as a non-profit teaching program that prepares its students to live in the least restrictive community setting available.
We offer daily living-skills training, permanent housing with services, rehabilitation counseling, self-advocacy training, health and symptom management, and community resource development.
Students learn to realize their true potential in an environment that respects personal choice and demands accountability.
acknowledge and respect the everyday challenges faced by people who have a mental illness.
believe that everyone has something to give and through giving comes personal growth.
strive to motivate people to believe in their ability to reach their goals of independence.
accept the responsibility to educate the community about mental illness to encourage understanding and inclusion.
provide support to students of Rockhill Academy as they develop the skills and abilities to live more independent lives.
commit our help to people as they strive to help themselves.

If you are interested in helping our residents, we are frequently seeking volunteers and donors who can provide resources and education for our students, as well as on-site entertainment and off-site community excursion opportunities. We also accept in-season new or nearly-new and cleaned clothing, belts, accessories, coats and shoes for adults in all sizes. Coats are accepted year-round. Rockhill Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
